These modules are designed to support the knowledge and critical thinking of community programs serving families who have experienced domestic violence. We believe that every community partner working with families should have a basic knowledge and understanding of domestic violence and its impact on survivors and their children. It is important to note that developing an in-depth understanding of domestic violence and its impact on families is a lifelong journey and is unique to each family we come in contact with. Completing the training modules does not create an expertise in domestic violence, but it helps each of us to be more informed and knowledgeable about what families are experiencing and what additional services they may need. It is important to refer individuals and families to your local domestic violence program. Or you may want to call the program yourself for additional information.

In Contra Costa County, your local domestic violence program is STAND! They can be reached at 925 215-5555. You can also visit their website at www.standffov.org
